Ok, now I can continue. I hate when my finger hits the wrong button and send before I am ready. All the parts of the piano truck are connected in exactly the same way and carry the load in exactly the same way. The cups for the legs can be mounted on what we normally think of as the underside of the steel arm the hold a leg. The steel arms can be turned upside down and still get fully sandwiched by and bolted into the two plates in the middle. The casters can be mounted on what we normally think of as the underside of the arm. There really is no additional danger that isn't present in the normal construction of the carriage. The only drawback is IF it does jump out of the cups it has a lot longer of a way to fall. That might almost certainly snap a leg and then fall farther and even harder. As far as playing it, the platform under the chair reaching to under the pedals ( my idea from earlier BTW) would eliminate and strangeness or discomfort from the players standpoint. It will still look and feel a bit odd but I feel as though we're all getting a bit rabid about nay saying what other want to do to address some other problem that they may be having. I certainly wouldn't suggest raising the piano in this way but I think that if you look at it closely there is no more inherent danger this way than the normal way. My 2 cents. While I certainly wouldn't recommend it simply from the standpoint of the piano being too high in the air I don't see the inherent difficulty with the tripod truck being turned upside down.
