It MIGHT be worth a call to YC, if in fact it is a silicone issue. They're
still quite responsive (when you can get someone on the phone) to the
expanding bracket issue from the same era.

Best way I've found is to dial/touch (866) 798-6979 and select prompt for
"Acoustic Service"
