'Twas I who made that reference.  Yes, "pressing either pneumatically or mechanically" better describes what I was trying to get at.  If you can push in a bridge pin with your hand, it would not only be loose(r), but too loose, IMO.

Revently a reference was made to inserting bridge pins by pushing rather than banging them in.

"pushing", meaning pressing either pneumatically or mechanically?  Not simply pushing by hand I assume, as that requires a loose(r) fit?
