[pianotech] finding the strike line

I tend to rely on plucking as a target for voicing with good enough results. 
I extended the idea to finding the strike point - sounds like it is not the greatest approach.

  While gnashing my teeth in frustration at not allowing myself the obvious smart-ass response to your phraseology above, let me observe that it is my understanding that plucking involves quite different physics in the vibratory response of the string and any mechanism coupled to it. Sustain generally is read on the high side by plucking vis-a-vis striking. It may be too false a measure to be useful, although it's been in the mythos for a long time.
