The only thing I'd worry about is on some of the really ancient ones the
insulation on the cords gets brittle and comes off. If the cord is supple,
use it. If it is hard, pitch it.

How about the really old metal heater bars?  Are they something to perhaps
junk?  They've been here many many years....They work, but should I trust
them?
