Twist the rail and shim accordingly. To do this, support the rail
in the treble in a raised position and pull back on the bass end.
This will slightly bend the pivot arms to accomplish a more even
blow distance, shim the brackets to fill the gaps.

Could it be that it was a poorly bored set? Are there rail rest felts missing?
