Bruce: I'm sure someone has more useful information than me, but here goes... In my experience I have found the Petrof products to be unreliable at best. I keep my dealer affiliations minimal, but 4 of the dealers that I have contracted with have had Petrof products at one time or another. All 4 have dropped Petrof quickly! The best thing in my opinion about Petroff is the finish. The scaling is atrocious in most of the instruments that I have dealt with. I recall having a PTG chapter meeting at a store of one of the Petrof dealers. The meeting was disrupted many times by the sound of snapping bass strings. I was told later that the dealer had to send back a shipment of 6 grands because of this problem. I have a few in town that I service, and feel that they are just not what they should be. They might not be the worse piano on the market but I would never recommend the purchase of one. I would stick with the Kawai! Have a client who is shopping for a NEW 7'-0" piano. Anyone like to comment on a Petrof 7'-0" (not certain of model) versus a Kawai RX-6 (7'-0")?
