Charge him for a service call. My tuning fee is $110. A service call is $65. That's to do a minimum repair that takes less than 5 minutes. I had Sears come out to change the door on my refrigerator. I was told it would be $65. When the technician came out, he said it would be $175. I asked what happened to the $65. He said that was just to come out. It didn't include the cost of the repair.

Subject: Tune 1 String?

Got a call from a guy to tune one string that had been replaced 6 or 7 years ago, when the piano was last tuned. I asked if he wanted to tune the piano - "no, just the one string - it's gone flat".

?

Okay........

?

It'll be a first for me.
