Thanks Conrad. Had an idea, but just need to confirm the use, Makes a lot of sense. I learn a lot from this list, even how to do acupuncture on wooden legs...Great! I will have to use that also!

Shoe pegs are good for plugging vacant bridgepin holes while in the 
process of  recapping, or any small hole that would be well served by 
being plugged by hardwood, as opposed to comparatively soft wood toothpicks.
