Hello Thomas, YES ,, there are several. One that jumps into my mind is the A.B. Chase Scale " T " Made in early 1900s. This is a 6"1' looks like a round tail Steinway A. It has a "hook" treble bridge with 2 - two string wraped unisions and 7 three string unsions coming from the bass. It also has a elongated " bell". Its big advantage over the Stinway is that it has the W-N-G bumper action and the bass sound with a big fundamental tone with a beautiful bloom. Many of these pianos used Quarterd Mah. for thier cabinets. As a side note Walter Lane worked with Allen Chase for four years before he went on his own and buillt the worlds best upright. ( my opinion ) Also A.B. Chase built many Knabe concert grands for the Knabe Co. in the mid to late 1920s " All knowledge comes from the past."
