Gas I gasped

Hi Dean,

Your gentle rib about economists, sadly, is spot on. Even more amazing is to see a politician who understands the Fed. Dr. Paul has spent most of his career arguing with politicians; I spent much of mine arguing with economists. Since we make similar arguments, the Texas Congressman and I are natural allies.

The video you point to (and I think there is an earlier one by the same group)probably has done more for Glenn Hubbard's name recognition than all the scholarly papers he has published. His publications don't circulate on YouTube.

The funniest comment I've heard all week was the contributor on this list who suggested that we save on gas by having piano owners drop off their pianos and pick them up again after they are tuned. Now that's the kind of idea that would get serious play in Washington.

Steve

Wow, you're an economist and you understand the destructive policies of the
Fed! A rare combination. ;-) I presume you voted for Ron Paul?

Speaking of the Fed and Bernanke, here is a hilarious video spoofing Dean
Hubbard of Columbia University who got passed over for the Fed chairmanship

The student portraying Hubbard even looks something like him.
