Subject: Veritical Hitches

Been meaning to ask this for awhile.  For those of you who install vertical
hitch pins, what's the maximum height that you would feel comfortable
setting the string above the plate?

I've been assigned to prep some new Baldwin grand piano's with the accujust
hitch pins.If we use Baldwin's technique on any individual unison one pin
has the string almost touching the plate and the next at the top of the pin
ready to slip off.
