Square tube action rails for Steinway M

When Falcones were made in Mass., they were planning on going from Stwy type rails to square (i.e., flat surfaces on all four sides, but still maple-in-brass).  Don't know if they got as far as putting them on any pianos, but I know the rails themselves existed.

Has anyone ever seen square tube rails on an M? I’m replacing part because
of Vertigris but I spotted this square brass rail tube with a square .. um
dowel inside. It’s not soldered to the frame but rather screwed in at the
ends. I’m thinking I’m gonna replace it but I’m just wondering if anyone has
ever seen this before.
