Bechstein spring & loop AND bridle tape

This type of action is also called the "Illimitable Repeating Action". I
recently replaced all of the original silk "loops" and springs in a circa
1915 Bell piano - 90% of the original loops were broken. The difference was
amazing. The hammer repeat speed was better than some cheaper grands ie.
jacks ready all the time.

I tuned the 1892 Bechstein model 8 of a customer yesterday. I hadn't noted
it before, but the Schwander action is spring-and-loop AND bridle tapes. 
Belt and braces!  I wonder if it really made any difference.

I liked the elegant little apron at the end of the treble bridge.
