Hi folks... Going back to the original post its perhaps a good idea to remember that there are basically two causes for keys sticking on the key slip. Either the slip is slanted inwards a bit, in which case a bit of shimming on the distal edge of the underside of the slip will do the trick, or its warped, in which case the shimming may or may not be enough to do the job. In the case of the warped keyslip that does not respond well enough to shimming, about the only good way of fixing the problem is to unwarp the darn thing. Putting pressure on it by forcing something between the front rail of the key frame and slip is not kosher for obvious reasons and I personally wouldn't go there unless it was a last resort for a very temporary solution. Some key slips have a metal slip screwed along their insides which resists any warping tendencies and allows to some degree to bend the warped area back into line. A heat gun normally does the job nicely in slip thats just wood. Sometimes the cheek block holding wedges need to be modified as well. Cheers RicB
