So at least one section of the plain wire has been replaced -- and 
very untidily at that.  The eyes are very badly made (Erard original 
eyes are neat and usually about 35 mm long not including the final 
coils) and the wrestpin coils haven't been properly pulled up and 
knocked down.  As someone else has said, you don't get many chances 
with French wrestplanks.
