Proprietary information sharing

The tradition of sharing information in this trade is a wonderful one and I
have certainly benefited and tried to contribute to others in that
tradition. Nevertheless, there are certain things that remain proprietary
for a number reasons: Out of respect to those who have shared things in
confidence, having labored myself for countless hours in development, and
because much of the information is an ongoing work in progress (to name a
few), I'm just not quite ready to hand it over. The basic approach to
calculating RC&S deflections has been discussed on the list. The specific
applications for that information is a separate matter.

That being said, the issue of predictability, control and preculated rates
of deflection is not new and should be part of any serious attempt at
design.

ooh Ric,

You're touching on trade secret territory here. You might just have to
divulge your Credit card number to get answers. The Internet is a free for
all but unfortunately not all for free.
