Small Claims Court

    I have had several experiences in small claims court.  The court only awards you the judgement.  How you collect is another matter.  Often the judgement is enough to make the person pay up, but if he/she balks, its back to court to garnishee wages, attach property, etc. etc.  Its not a cure-all, but it usually does work.
