That was my first inclination but someone beat me to it and it was already
screwed all the way in, my only choice was to remove it! I failed to realize
the pedal would "clunk" on the keybed with enthusiastic use, which George
pointed out to me in his notes. I wrapped it with a large rubber band, the
pedal itself, creating a small stop but still allowing the pedal to shift
the action/hammers to newer unused felt. He wasn't so bad considering the
stories I'd heard about him being demanding and he wears socks onstage now,
still no shoes.
