This has also been my experience with discount notices on cards.  The people
that get the discounts were almost always the regulars.
The one positive note is that I don't have to pick up the phone to call them
(which I don't like much).  I doubt that it's worth my giving away $4.00.
 Now I don't mention it on the cards.  Some customers know the $4.00
discount offer is still up on my web site.  So they fill out the appt form,
and I give 'em the discount.

I remember this adage from my foray into multi-level-marketing.  "Some will,
some won't.  So what?  Some are waiting."  So here I am, staring at the
phone -- knowing that I need to pick it up and dial some digits.  What's so
dang hard 'bout that, anyway? I even have my script memorized.  <G>

So much easier to complain on the list about slow seasons. Hehe.  Gonna make
some calls now.
