The very gradual tapering of the point is most important so that no 
removal of the bushing can take place before the broach has passed 
through the bushings on both sides.  The first part of the broach 
should be smooth so that by the time the roughened part enters the 
bushing the broach is perfectly concentric with the bushings.?
