How about the customer when asked what their house number there is along
pause while they go outside to looked at the number on their house.

I've always thought we should write a book on this topic.  My best was the
customer who asked me; "Do you know where Laurel Street is?'  When I
answered in the affirmative, she replied; "Well, you can't get here from
there!"  Found myself wondering HOW MANY streets in town that I couldn't get
to her house from?
