    Look at the sides of the fallboard, there are rails screwed to the sides,
    the topic is also in the Journal.

  If this is like the Wheelock I worked on(mangled) getting the fallboard off, I believe you tilt the fall to about a 45 degree angle and pull it toward you and it slides off of those spring loaded pivots. I can't find the correct Journal w/the description in it but if memory srves that's the way it works.
