Thanks for your reply.  The key blocks are attached to the keyframe.  When you press the soft pedal the key block move with the keyframe.  That's part of the problem.  If they weren't there it would be easier to attack this keyslip from the back.

  We have just taken this piano in to sell on consignment.  It hasn't been regulated for at least 20 years - but we can't get the keyslip off to do so.
