Adjusting plate suspension bolts?

I do two or three at a time. You aren't making big changes all 
at once, but chasing small changes back and forth around the 
plate until you get what you want. The final pass is one at a 
time, making sure the lock nuts underneath just touch, so the 
plate isn't unnecessarily stressed.
