Extreme jumpiness

    Tom, I can't imagine pins "slipping" when they're as tight as you describe.  I'd start looking for other reasons for the pitch drop.  String problems like the lower end unwinding, bridge problems, hitch pins bending, plate separating from the back, anything that might explain the pitch change.  I think you'll get lots of comments on this one!
