That was before the "caring" of political correctness had firmly set in and the mice traps were made less effective. You may remember, "...we need to have safer guns and safer bullets." (Jocelyn Elder, the former Surgeon General under Pres. Clinton) Wasn't she the same one who suggested making buckets with holes so the water would drain out before kids could go drown themselves in them? And now, we have lawnmowers with instructions not to stop the blade with one's hands. Anyway, sorry to chase that mouse trail, but the point is we used to have better traps. I remember when I was a kid (30 years ago) how little pressure it took to release the spring. The last trap I baited I almost wasn't afraid to put my own finger in it. > Also on this topic (which of course is Off Topic) I tried those > sticky-bottom traps once. But I don't like having little critters in the house either. Particularly when they have the whole world to find a home in. :-) >From a non-politically correct white guy who wants to henceforth be classified as a Dutch-German-25% unspecified ethnic group-red-headed Caucasian-American, who is that way due to no fault or effort of his own. <G> -- JF Ron Paul for President www.ronpaul2008.com
