 From the Piano Technician's Guild Department of Good Deeds:

An individual is looking for a specific piano. The individual  
purchased this piano new in 1970, but lost it due to unpaid storage  
charges; the piano was sold at auction in New York City in about  
1992. The sentimental value of this piano is considerable.

The piano is a Steinway 40" vertical, walnut finish, french  
provincial style, serial number 416822.

Any information would be gratefully received. The individual knows  
locating the piano would be a long-shot among long-shots. If you have  
such a piano in your service records, perhaps you could check the  
serial number.
