DC install problem

I'm installing a complete DC system on a Yamaha U1.

The bottom panel doesn't have a gap between the top of
it and the keybed.  So, how is the water tank fill 
tube going to stick out?  I'm thinking about using a
dremel to make a "half hole" in the  top edge of the 
bottom panel that will be big enough for the tube.  
Any better ideas?
