Hi Holly,

I've always been game to tune the weird and unwanted. I have tackled a few 
of those English beasts and found the Papps mute to work the best. Setting a 
temperament is tricky without a strip so you need more than one.I've also 
tried tilting the action, stripping for the temperament, tuning the middle 
strings then removing the strip and tune the unisons of the temperament then 
proceed with the octaves. It's fiddly but doable.
