Andre Bolduc presented this topic at the PTG Convention and Institute in Kansas City. It covers recapping a bridge without removing it. This approach won't work for every situation, but it's worth researching before you begin. He has a video (DVD) available on this class topic. I don't know its price. He does retail his products through Pianotek. His time for a complete recapping job is about two hours. I have not done one of these repairs other than when I was in College too many years ago. I plan to send the bridge elsewhere to have the work done. Their request was to have the bridge intact as much as possible. My questions are how much labour time is expected in removing and reinstalling the bridge? How is the best way to remove the bridge? Many Thanks, John Pengelly The Tuning Fork _________________________________________________________________ Windows Live Hotmail.
