Hi Sara, Are the strings you are refering to muted single ie two do not sound? Also your post, as I read it, sounds like you are using an etd. Is this correct? If so which one. Plucking the string will sometimes give a better reading with an ETD. Also try moving the mike of the unit. Check the mating of hammer and string. You can sometimes mate the hammer and string with the seating tool by pushing a high string back away from the hammer so to speak. File hammer if needed. Your problem could also be poor notching of the bridge, or wood chips resting on the string and bridge.
