an odd piano I saw

Some of the premium brands like Crown and Wing & Sons (I think) at the turn of the century were putting 5 pedals on pianos. the two extras were usually either a practice mute felt, or a blocking mechanism that kept the hammers from striking the strings, and a mandolin bar.
