Yesterday I got an advertisement from Telenav, which is a cell phone based GPS service. There is a receiver unit, about the size of a Hershey's bar, that mounts on the dash. It doesn't look inviting to thieves, as there's no fancy LCD display. The receiver is about $100. Monthly fee is $10.00, and requires a data plan on your phone. Directions are voice prompted, with street names announced, and asking for directions is done by voice too. Call a number and say where you want to go. Use a bluetooth device or hands-free headset. If I hadn't purchased a GPS device already, I'd be really tempted to sign up (which you can try 30 days for free).
