Whether you like it or not, this guy has every right to sell these items on ebay or anywhere else. Do sellers sometime mis-represent their stuff? Sure. Do they do so knowingly, with the intention to deceive? Maybe. Is this guy guilty of that? I doubt it. I have bought and sold a great many things on ebay and in my experience, sellers are usually very happy and appreciative of people who correct their listing mistakes and/or inaccuracies, and are quick to make corrections. I have recycled many parts. Not to bring up the old analogy but why should used pianos be any different than used cars? In my younger years, I've kept my vehicles operating with junk yard parts. Likewise, I have kept pianos going with recycled parts. ie: Hammers/shanks/flanges, 1962 M. These specimens played and sounded like crap on the original piano but magically transformed into the perfect mates for a late 30's vintage M. The retired client appreciated my efforts on extending the life of his piano for a moderate price which fit his fixed income. I doubt that new hammers could have sounded any better. Of course, I filed/tapered/re-arced tails and voiced them but they were altogether the wrong length for the original piano. They fit this piano to a "T", even in their 'worn' state. The trick is, kow what's good to keep... and have room for it... -- Regards, Jon Page _________________________________________________________________ Invite your Hotmail contacts to join your friends list with Windows Live Spaces http://clk.atdmt.com/MSN/go/msnnkwsp0070000001msn/direct/01/?href=http://spaces.live.com/spacesapi.aspx?wx_action=create&wx_url=/friends.aspx&mkt=en-us
