Is there any relief for the weight of the hammer on the bushings?

Has the hammer shanks been tied down to the hammer rest rail like they do
for new pianos? If not, find a wood stick or dowel similar in length to the
hammer rest rail, but a bit larger in girth. Lay it on top of the hammer
shanks and tie the stick to the hammer rest rail at every action bracket. The
hammer shanks and shank flange are immobilized and protected.
