Fw: damper shoosh noise

Ahhh, cancel that - the web site is up but the archives search appears dead. I just did a search on "dampers swoosh" and got no matches, then a search on "damper noise" only produced a few *.pdf's - no results from the archives.

  A recording studio is hearing the damper shoosh which occurs when depressing the sustain pedal.  Is there a way to decrease or eliminate this sound for close mic-ing?
