New bass strings, some dead

A  twist in the wrong direction will deaden the bass strings
which is why I mentioned to remove a few to observe the
rotation. If in fact a reverse-twist was executed, simply
take the loop off the hitch and place a twist in the direction
of the winding and pull to pitch, it should not have ruined
the strings.
