Subject: no fan of overhead fans while tuning

Yesterday I tuned ( or tried to tune ) and Mason & Hamlin grand in a
very large church sanctuary. No fans, but there was a large crew of men
re-shingling the roof. Pound, pound, bang, bang, bang, pound ,Pound.....

Is that what you're referring to? ;-(

Next time you tune a piano that has notes that are beating for no
apparent reason, look overhead and you might find your answer.?
