how many pounds of tension on a piano's plate

Greetings, 

         How many pounds of tension are on a piano's plate? Does this 
cumulative tension vary with the size of the piano?  Me thinks it does.  What would 
approximate tension ranges be, for say, spinets, uprights and 6' grands?
