Broken String on Fortepiano

     I had no success in trying all of my splices and bends and knots, etc.  
with a forte piano. The wire seems to be too soft.  It was certainly more 
malleable than normal piano wire .   I tried numerous times, had zero success.  
Glad there was another piece of wire available.
