Article about bridge agraffes - function, types

I wonder why Sohmer used normals pins in the treble and bridge agraffes
further down the scale. Kind of defeats the purpose, in my view...

Last night, I tuned a 1925 Sohmer grand, which had bridge agraffes in the
middle section. It kind of sounded metallic and the tone difference between
the notes with the regular bridge pins (in the treble) was very obvious.
