No, it doesn't, if there is somewhat equal high/low humidity situations. In
low humidity it does get a bit crystalin. In High humidity it softens and
reconstitutes itself. BTW, someone said that hide glue does not have "gap
filling" capabilities. That is also false. Depending on the viscosity of
the glue will determine how much gap it will fill. Most "eggsperts" on glue
don't take this in consideration. They assume that everyone will use it in
it's "normal" working viscosity. That, in and of itself, is the beauty of
Hide Glue...One can vary the viscosity for specific uses. Also, there are
methods to make it set up fast or slow, depending on the work time needed.
IMO, it is still the most versatile glue we have.
