Denatured alcohol will do it. If you look at the container in which the stuff came it says: "May be thinned with denatured alcohol". That works even after it is completely dry. Just smash the dry blob into manageable pieces (you don't have to grind it) and pour enough denatured alcohol to cover. Let sit, stir occasionally - eventually the liquid becomes thick enough to be usable. You don't have to melt it all to start using the stuff - after about 1/2 hour to an hour there will be enough stuff there of good consistency to pour off into a container and apply to whatever you need to "Dag" (some of the alcohol evaporates). If it gets too thick - just thin it with denatured alcohol. I've done this a few times, and the stuff worked just fine - and stuck to whatever surface I applied it strongly enough to withstand burnishing... I would never use graphite of any type for pedal rods... Israel Stein >
