Julia If the pins are really tight then Joe is right, & pinning is the solution. But you may also be successful with a water and alchohol solution to shrink the felt & free the pins. 2 parts water to 8 parts alcohol is a fairly dilute solution. If your pins are more sluggish then you may increase the water by another 3 or 4 drops water to alchol. I have also used tolulene or naptha with silicone oil. 1 part oil To 9 parts thinner. This is a last resort though as vertigree or some other contamination is the true problem & lubes are usually temporary. (Sorry Joe G.)I find goose juice to be of no use on pins. So many lubes have a temporary effect & then they come back. Yes! ...it's a real sticky wicket! Dale Greetings, Again, what is the ratio fo mineral oil to naptha for a centerpin lubricant? ...4 to 1 which way? what is best to store it in? thanks in advance, Julia Gottshall Reading, PA -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
