Rib Crowned and Supported - ribs shaped to relatively small radii, board ribbed at relatively high MC, panel under little compression and has no significant crown-supporting function. Rib Crowned - ribs shaped to relatively large radius (commonly 60-foot), board ribbed at moderate to low MC, panel compression in part supports crown. Rib crowned is a bit of a hybrid - somewhere between CC and RC&S. There really is a continuum between the two extremes of CC and RC&S.
