Ive re-pinned using rosin (violin bows) to prevent the pins from jumping. Works well. No, it will not be getting a new pin block. Has anyone used the 7mm ( around 0.285) bore brush before and does it do a good job of cleaning the original holes to help avoid pin jumping with the new pins?
