Must be why the Bible has references to the earth being round. Luis' claim is a popular myth, but that is what it is, a myth. There is much scholarship to demonstrate that throughout history the view of a flat of earth was not widely held in the church, indeed, it was quite the contrary. The Bible is the most published and most revered book in human history. Its accuracy is unmatched by any other book of antiquity. If you wish to poke fun at it and those who believe it by propagating myths, be my guest. But it isn't very tolerant. And it will elicit a response from me. It will probably also elicit responses from others condemning me. That's fine, I can take it. Just be sure you equally condemn Louis' statement or you might face the charge of being a hypocrite.
