David, would there be a possibility of wet sanding the keytop with finer and finer paper until you can use finer and finer polish to bring up the gloss? This might be a good first step rather than try to remove and replace the keytop and hope it matches the rest. It could even be a timesaver. If you HAVE to replace, I'd try a heat gun to carefully loosen the adhesive and pry up the old top to remove. BTW, where is Wangaratta, we're visiting your country in November (respond privately).
