As a college tech, people seem to expect a certain level of expertise when 
they call me.  I always try to live up to that.

If you don't confirm the recommendation or, in my case, the college tech 
caché had for you, bad word of mouth will be about ten times as effective 
as good... and about 20 times as hard to overcome.
